Saving onto a Floppy Disk is NOT a safe way to store data.
You may feel secure in holding a physical disk in your hands but Floppies
are inexpensive and mass-produced, therefore being much less reliable than
Hard Drives.
Data kept on a disk can simply "go bad" over time, because the film where
information in stored is not sturdy. Spills, crumbs, dust, and temperature
differences that a hard drive inside a computer is protected from easily
affect floppies. They also suffer from persistent wear and tear, leading to
Physical errors.
Floppy Disks are also a lot slower reading and writing to and from the Disk
than a Hard Drive, therefore being a much less efficient way to back up than
other methods.
